“Philia International Journal of Ancient Mediterranean Studies” tecrübeli bir editör ekibi tarafından hayata geçirilen İlkçağ araştırmalarına yönelik bilimsel bir dergidir. Aynı editör ekibi daha önce “Gephyra. Journal for the Ancient History and Cultures of the Eastern Mediterranean” başlıklı dergide birlikte çalışmıştır. Akdeniz Bölgesi'nin Eski Çağlar'ını aydınlatmayı hedefleyen dergide epigrafi, numismatik, papyroloji, tarihi coğrafya, arkeoloji, prosopografi, sosyal, ekonomik, askeri ve din tarihi içerikli konulara yer verilmektedir. Akdeniz'in İlkçağ kültürlerine yeni bakışlar getirecek yayınların buluşacağı bir platform olarak kurulan dergide saygın bir uluslararası hakem heyeti görev almaktadır. Makaleler İngilizce, Almanca, Fransızca, İtalyanca ve İspanyolca dillerinde yayınlanmakta olup her makale ayrıca Türkçe bir özet içermektedir.
